 Abstract:  John Hayslip was an officer in the Ohio Militia during the War of 1812. The collection consists of petitions, affidavits, and other legal papers, relating to the proceedings of Ohio Militia regimental courts and Common Pleas courts, held in Hayslip's home in West Union, Adams County, Ohio. Includes rosters, muster rolls, and election poll books for various brigades of the Ohio Militia during the War of 1812, and letters and other papers concerning pension matters, particularly those of Captain William Faulkner.
